About RCEES

Africa's Centre of Excellence for Energy and Environment

Established in 2019 under the World Bank's Africa Centres of Excellence initiative, RCEES addresses critical energy and environmental challenges across sub-Saharan Africa through internationally competitive research and graduate training.

Based at the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) in Sunyani, Bono Region, the Centre produces graduates equipped to drive development through environmentally sustainable approaches to energy, power systems, and resource management.
