Designing the supply-side regulatory architecture — technical standards, grid integration, tariffs and licensing — required to scale electric-mobility infrastructure in Ghana under UNEP's e-mobility programme.
Key Objectives
- Develop supply-side regulatory frameworks for EV charging infrastructure deployment in Ghana
- Establish technical standards, grid-integration and interoperability requirements for e-mobility supply equipment
- Assess utility readiness, tariff design and revenue mechanisms for licensed charging service providers
- Review import duties, vehicle homologation and battery end-of-life rules to de-risk private-sector entry
- Recommend safety, consumer-protection and licensing instruments for charge-point operators
