Philip Padi

Philip Padi is a Ghanaian engineer, water resources specialist, and energy planning professional with extensive experience in hydrology, reservoir operations, and power systems planning. He is recognized for his work in integrating water resource management with electricity generation, particularly within Ghana’s hydropower sector.

Professionally, he serves with the Volta River Authority, where he has held responsibilities in Water Resources and Generation Planning — including reservoir management, flood and inflow forecasting for hydropower generation, flood frequency analysis, hydrological modelling, and generation expansion planning.

Academically, he is affiliated with the University of Energy and Natural Resources as a PhD student in engineering-related studies. His research interests span hydroinformatics, renewable energy systems, energy planning, and integrated water resource management.

Philip has also contributed to professional and international technical communities, including the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research, with expertise in climate adaptation, hydroinformatics and water resources management.
