Advertisement: Professional Certification Training Program in Occupational Health and Safety
The Regional Centre for Energy and Environmental Sustainability (RCEES) at the University has partnered with Millenium Health and Safety Consult (MILHASC) to offer high-quality and affordable training and consultancy services in Occupational Health and Safety, Environment, and Quality Management System. This partnership is aimed at building and sustaining strong partnerships with industry and other key stakeholders, and developing the capacity of individuals and organizations through training, consulting, and professional development.
As a result, both partners are organizing a cost-effective professional certification training program in Occupational Health and Safety, specifically the NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. This training program is available in three modes: Classroom Sessions (Saturdays & Sundays), Virtual Sessions (Weekday track & Weekend track), and E-Learning (Self-Learn).

To enroll in the course, a 30% down payment is required as part of the payment plan. It is necessary to complete the full payment before being eligible to sit for the NEBOSH IGC examination in Occupational Health and Safety. The exam is written once every month. Candidates are at liberty to choose when to write the exam, however, it is recommended to sit for the exam soon after the training.
The examination consists of two parts: the IG1 Open Book examination and the IG2 Practical Assessment.
IG1 - The invigilated paper-based exam has been permanently replaced with a digital assessment. Learners will have 24 hours to access, complete and submit their paper starting from 11am (UK time) on the examination date.
IG1 is available in English, Arabic, French, Portuguese (European), Russian, Spanish (European) and Turkish, however language options will not be available for all sittings.
