Call for Applications: RCEES Scholarships for 2024/2025 Academic Year

The Regional Centre for Energy and Environmental Sustainability (RCEES) at the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) invites qualified candidates to apply for scholarships for the 2024/2025 academic year. These scholarships support postgraduate studies in the following programs:

MSc and PhD in Sustainable Energy Engineering and Management

MSc and PhD in Environmental Engineering and Management

Eligibility Criteria:

Academic Qualifications: Applicants must hold a relevant bachelor’s degree for MSc programs or a master’s degree for PhD programs.

Admission Status: Candidates must have gained admission to UENR’s School of Graduate Studies for the specified programs.

Research Proposal: Submission of a research proposal aligned with RCEES’s focus areas is required.

Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English is mandatory.

Application Process:

University Admission:

Purchase an e-voucher for GHS 250 from designated points, including UENR’s Accra Office or selected bank branches.

Complete the online application using the voucher details.

Print three copies of the completed form and submit them, along with certified copies of certificates, transcripts, two sealed referee reports, and a research proposal, to:

Scholarship Application:

After securing admission, apply for the RCEES scholarship by submitting the following documents:

1. Detailed Curriculum Vitae
2. Scanned copy of passport biodata page
3. Two recommendation letters (one from a supervisor at the master’s level for PhD applicants)
4. Official transcripts and certificates for BSc and MSc degrees
5. Proof of English proficiency for candidates from non-Anglophone countries
6. Motivation letter (maximum two pages) outlining your interest in the program and its relevance to your home country
7. Short concept note (maximum three pages) detailing the justification, objectives, methodology, and expected outcomes of your proposed research
