The African Climate Leadership Program (AFRICLP) – Hosted In The University Of Nairobi, And Supported By The International Development Research Centre (IDRC) in collaboration with University Of Ibadan (UI), Ibadan, Nigeria; University Of Energy And Natural Resources (UENR), Sunyani, Ghana And Regional Centre For Energy And Environmental Sustainability, UENR is pleased to announce the Second Hydropower International Conference 2019 At Otunba Subomi Balogun Conference Centre, UI Hotels, University Of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria on the 22-25 October, 2019.

THEME:HYDROPOWER DEVELOPMENT IN SUB– SAHARAN AFRICA: STATUS, CHALLENGES AND PROSPECTS

Call for Papers

The organisers hereby call for the submission of abstracts relevant to the theme and in the sub-themes’ thematic areas.

Important Deadlines:

Abstract submission opens: May 27, 2019
Abstract submission closes: August 15, 2019
Notification of Acceptance: September 15, 2019
Submission of full paper: October 4, 2019

Target Participants

This Conference and Workshops are targeted at all who are involved in hydropower research, innovation and development in Sub-Saharan Africa.
These include (but not limited to):

  • Stakeholders from academia
  • Stakeholders from Industry and Civil Society Organisation (CSOs)
  • Policy Makers in Government, Parastatals and Non-Governmental Organisations
  • Other categories of individuals desirous of acquiring skills in hydropower development

Venue

The Conference and Workshops shall take place at the Otunba Subomi Balogun Conference Centre, UI Hotels, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria.
